EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce chassis number AR 1493.04458 with engine number AR 1315*44335, hereon referred to as "Giulietta SVZ 4458", was produced on May 20, 1957, in color Light Blue Cloud (AR 305 ) and sold on July 3, 1957, to the Italian car racer Sergio Cannara from Busseto, Province of Parma, who delivered the car to Zagato for the installation of a light weight aluminum body and for engine race preparation. As a result of the Zagato work, the Giulietta SVZ 4458 won various races from 1958 on over the stock Alfa Romeo SV model, that are documented by Gino Giugno in the book Giulietta Sprint Veloce Zagato, published by Fotograf , Milan in 2007. Following this race period, in the mid 1960's the Giulietta SVZ 4458 was "rottamata" (left in a junk yard) and rediscovered as such in the mid 1990's by the classic car dealer Angelo Strada from Milan, who did a very accurate body restoration according to Zagato rules. The Giulietta SVZ 4458 was purchased from Angelo Strada by the Clean Energies Tech Co from Florida who had the engine restored to the original Zagato specs by Michael Besic from Illinois and, more recently, the brake system restored by Eibell Performance from Clearwater, Florida. Following a comprehensive filing dated December 1, 2019, the office of the 1000 Miglia in Brescia, Italy, accepted the Giulietta SVZ 4458 to run the 2020 1000 Miglia by certifying that the engine 1493.04458 is "original to this vehicle," by certifying that its body is " original to this vehicle," and by listing the Giulietta SVZ 4458 in the historic "Registro 1000 Miglia" with D number 7532 with pre-qualification to run the 1000 Miglia to 2026.
