COMMENT 1: whether sold by individuals or by auction houses, a classic car can be credibly claimed to be "original" only in case of the availability of the entire documentation from new. This means that a number of classic cars sold sold at auctions, including SVZ, cannot be correctly claimed to be true "originals" due to the lack of the complete documentation from new.

COMMENT 2: There are no true experts on the currently available samples of this series due to: 1) The lack at this writing of any documentation of their originality since new; 2) The sole known documentation of SVZ that for their racing up to the early 1960s; and 3) Following their racings, the SVZ have been generally junked due to their lack of value in the 1960s. Therefore, nobody can claim to be an experts of Giuliettas SVZ.

COMMENT 3: To our knowledge, Zagato has no documentation on the SVZ. Only a few original drawings have been identified from private collections. Apparently, Andrea Zagato saw an SVZ at one of the Amalia Island Concours D'Elegance but, as a judge, he had no documentation or referrals for proper judging.

COMMENT 4: It is generally stated by "experts" that, to be original cars, the Alfa Romeo Sprint "Veloce" produced from 1956 to 1968 must have the letter "E" stamped in their VIN number. This is documentedly false because during said period the letter "E" was at times stamped in the car plate as "Tipo 750E" as illustrated by the known 1956 "sprint veloce" http://www.veloceregisters.net/pop827.html On the other hand, as shown n 1000 Miglia Certification, Additional Documentation

COMMENT 5: "Experts" claim that, to be original, all main components of the body of an SVZ must carry a Zagato stamp. This statement is equally wrong because Zagato did stamp their bodies but only for regular production series such as for the SZ, TZ1 and TZ2, while individual cars were not stamped, as confirmed by the fact that the recently produced 9 (nine) Zagato TZ3 carry no body stamp at all. In fact, the SVZ's were produced by Zagato one by one following individual orders by Alfa racers of the time, as a result of which Zagato did not know at the initiation of its construction the total number of SVZ's to be produced.

COMMENT 6: Another claim by "expert" is that the bodies of available SVZ are not originals. It should be indicated that the reproduction in the 1900's of a lightweight Zagato body of the SVZ would have been prohibitive due to the very low value at that time of the Giuliettas.

COMMENT 7: In the event of any claim that another Giulietta is the original SVZ 4458, representatives of the owner on record shall request documentation of the complete trail of ownership from new.
